available on the AppStore as of 26th August 2012
iBiennale is the new app for the Venice Biennale, designed expressly to satisfy the demands of everyone who’s interested in the lagoon city’s 13th International Architecture Exhibition. The contents are arranged dynamically, depending on whether the user is actually in Venice and ready to visit the exhibition or wishes to consult the material from afar. On either the iPad or the iPhone, iBiennale is an extremely useful tool to help visitors orient themselves quickly and catch all the sensations of the Architecture Biennale. Available for purchase at the AppStore >>
A set of interactive maps guides visitors through the pavilions and helps them explore the works of architecture based on their physical location. But the maps aren’t just geographical: contents are also arranged into an infographic system that immediately provides visual information about the participating architects and the themes they’ve taken on, about the tools and materials they’ve used to illustrate their projects, and about connections between the various works in the exhibition catalogue.
Images, videos and virtual view provide a clear, engaging overview of all the works of architecture on display. The app also goes in depth with articles and other extra material, to enhance the quality of a visit to the exhibition or long-distance consultation.
iBiennale was designed and built by LOG607, a company that was founded on the H-Farm and is now a subsidiary of Marsilio Editori, a major Italian publisher. It will be available for purchase at the AppStore starting August 26th, 2012. For more information, please write to: support-ibiennale@log607.com
