Giorgio Busetto 

Giorgio Busetto was born in Venice in 1949 and graduated cum laude in Literature and Philosophy at the Universitą di Padova. A librarian by education, he has worked since 1972, directing the library systems of the cities of Verona (1983) and Venice (1978-1984), the Venetian Fondazione Querini Stampalia (1984-2004) and Fondazione Levi (1992-2004), as well as the Associazione Fondazioni Veneziane per la Cultura, a position he held from 1996 to 2002.

He has taught at the Universitą Ca' Foscari in Venice since 1997: Library Science and Library Economics (1997-1998), Management of printed periodical material (1998-2002), Management of cultural institutions (since 2002); in 1997 and 1998, he taught Library Economics at the University of Udine-Gorizia.

He has been involved in scientific, educational and organizational work as a consultant for many Institutions, and has conceived and directed training courses for library and museum workers. Within the institutions he directed, he organized thousands of events (exhibitions, conferences, seminars, courses, lectures, book and audiovisual presentations, concerts, editorial initiatives, etc.) in Italy and abroad.

He is the author and editor of nearly one hundred books, articles and notes about library science, library economics, museum science, cultural heritage management, literature, novels, the history of art, and the history of Venetian culture.
