67th Venice International Film Festival
September 1st - 11th, 2010
The 67th Venice Film Festival will run 1st to 11th September 2010, directed by Marco Müller. The Festival will include competitive and out of competition sections, in addition to retrospective sections and those autonomously organized.
The official line-up of the 67th edition will be announced in a press conference that will take place in Rome at the end of July 2010.
The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement will be awarded to Asian and Hollywood director and producer, John Woo.

Orizzonti now opens to “extra-format” films
The Orizzonti section, created in 2004 and dedicated to new trends in world cinema, is taking a major new step, strengthening and opening itself to all “extra-format” works (including short films, therefore), with a broader and more dynamic overview of the new forms adopted by the expressive languages used in cinema.

Selection Committee renewed
A few changes in the organization of the Venice Film Festival have been approved by the Biennale Board on 21st December 2009: among these, the Selection Committee has been renewed; the advisors for the different geographical areas and the consultants for the new “Orizzonti” section have been appointed.
