The director of the Biennale Musica will receive the award on Sunday 16 October at the Staatstheater in Braunschweig.
The 66th International Festival of Contemporary Music ran from 14-25 September 2022, directed by Lucia Ronchetti. The programme featured daily events focused on the new forms of experimental music theatre. The activities of the Biennale College Musica were part of the Festival’s programme as usual.
Lucia Ronchetti studied Composition and Electronic Music at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia and graduated in History of Music at La Sapienza in Rome. She studied with Bussotti, Sciarrino, Grisey, and Murail. Her new choral opera Les paroles gelées is scheduled for 2022 at the Nouvelle Philharmonie in Paris.
