SELECTIONS

Applicants must provide:

  - Photo portrait and full figure
  - Links to videos of previous works (max. 3 videos, max. 3’ each)
 
Important note: incomplete applications will not be accepted
 
Selections will be made by the curator of the workshop and the Theatre Sector of the Venice Biennale; the outcome of the selections will be notified by June 30, 2012.
 
 
PARTICIPATION COSTS
The fee for each workshop is Euro 60.
Any additional costs (travel, accommodation, meals etc.) will be borne by the participants.

Claudio Tolcachir (Buenos Aires - Argentina, 1975)
He has acted for directors of the calibre of Daniel Veronese, Norma Aleandro, Carlos Gandolfo and Roberto Villanueva. In 1998 with his group he founded the company Timbre 4, with which he produced Chau Misterix by Mauricio Kartùn, Eurydice by Jean Anouilh, Jamón del Diablo, cabaret to texts by Roberto Arlt, Lysistrata by Aristophanes, La omissión de la familia Coleman, Tercer Cuerpo and El viento en un violin, the last three which he wrote himself. He also directed Entertaining Mr. Sloane by Joe Orton, August: Osage County by Tracy Letts and All my sons by Arthus Miller, an edition produced not only in Buenos Aires but also at the Teatro Español in Madrid, and Buena Gente by David Lindsay-Abaire. He has won many prizes for his work, including awards from ACE, Clarìn, Marìa Guerrero, Teatros del Mundo and Teatro XXI. His productions have been staged in over twenty countries, translated into seven languages and published in five countries. Since 2001, he and his group have managed the Timbre4 cultural space.
