TWO DAYS OF DEBATE WITH CRITICS, ACADEMICS AND PROFESSIONALS ON THE THEME OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ARCHIVES AND EXHIBITIONS

Proceedings of the Second International Conference Archives and Exhibitions held on 15th and 16th November 2013 at the Teatro Piccolo of Arsenale. Organized as part of the Biennale Arte 2013 – Il Palazzo Enciclopedico (The Encyclopedic Palace), the conference was organized by the Historical Archives of Contemporary Arts of La Biennale with the collaboration of the Soprintendenza Archivistica per il Veneto. Among the themes of the conference, developed in 19 speeches, fully reported in the volume: the use of archives in the 55th International Art Exhibition, “Organize the Memory”, the great potential of the archives in Italy and the role of archive document in contemporary art.
