ON BEcOMING A SmArT GOd-dESS​

From 21 to 30 June 2019, choreographers from all over the world represented in Venice the essence of dance as nourishment for the mind and the intellect, leading the spectators to discover unfamiliar places and new mental and emotional landscapes.

The catalogue of the Biennale Danza 2019 follows the Festival, from the performances to the encounters with the public, through critical texts, biographies and quotes by the artists. The catalogue spans the wide horizon across which choreography is developing today and highlights the dynamics and contemporary evolution of the figures of the dancer and choreographer.

The concept of the catalogue is by Marie Chouinard, the Director of Dance Department. The graphic design and the layout of the volume is by Headline.
