Description
The instrument of the Conservatorio “Benedetto Marcello” in Venice dates back to the seventies and is one of the largest in the city. Since the organs’ construction is fully mechanical, and the registers can also be pulled mechanically, experimental playing techniques can be easily applied. To this “double organ machine” I place my electronics, a machine whose outputs can be projected into the stage space in multiple channels.
In Requiem for a Beautiful Dream, a “semi-improvisational” playing with the organs and with the means of my instruments enables the direct control of the listening room, the tuning to each other in the moment.
