The 52nd International Festival of Contemporary Music, Roots / Future, runs until October 18th. Coming next on October 7th, musikFabrik / La Fura dels Baus with a performance dedicated to Stockhausen (Teatro alle Tese, 8 p.m.). On October 8th, Aldo Orvieto's piano recital (Sale Apollinee, 5 p.m.) and the Other Roots project, between jazz and Sardinian music (Teatro alle Tese, 8 p.m.). The festival is directed by Luca Francesconi; the program showcases 77 composers, 34 concerts performed by 13 leading ensembles, 3 orchestras, 8 soloists, meetings, and workshops. The 11th International Architecture Exhibition Out There: Architecture Beyond Building runs in Venice September 14th to November 23rd. The exhibition is open daily, 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. Check out information on tickets.

The first major International Theatre Workshop on the theme of the Mediterranean will run 27th October to 29th November. Leading masters will work with students and young actors, but also spectators who wish to learn more about how an artistic process is born.
