Synopsis

Sixteen years have passed since the day Vincent was born and those sixteen years have not been easy for anyone. Not for Vincent, immersed in a world of his own, nor for his mother Elena and her partner Mario, who adopted him.
Willi, who wanted to be a singer, is the biological father of the boy. One night, out of the blue, he finally works up the courage to go and meet that son that he has never seen before discovering that Vincent wasn’t anything like he had imagined. He doesn’t know, cannot know, how that small gesture of responsibility is only the beginning of a great adventure, one that would bring father and son together, allowing them to get to know and love each other on a journey in which they will have the opportunity to discover themselves, unconventionally, in an instinctive manner. And also Elena and Mario, who have set off in pursuit of their son, will be able to tell each other things that, perhaps, had never been said.
“Now I understand what you tried to say to me and how you suffered for your sanity. [...] But I could have told you Vincent, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you.” (Don McLean, Vincent).

Director’s Statement

The journey, the music, the nameless roads where emotions and feelings find room to fly. Rock and roll, in short! On the road once again, where I sometimes need to return.
Like the Pied Piper or a Shakespearian fool, a sixteen years old boy drags behind him, over the deserted street, the three most important adults in his life. And he forces them to deal with themselves and with the love that each of them has managed to preserve within himself or herself. Seen up close, no one is normal. And you can discover that it is possible to be able to love even those who are different from us. As long as we do not fear this diversity.
