Bára Sigfúsdóttir & Eivind Lønning - Tide

The method Bára Sigfúsdóttir has chosen to research and compose the materials of her movement, articulate and eloquent, is unique for the communicative tension and the powerful emotional impact that constantly guides her. Her interest is focused on exploring the body and isolating its segments, relying on different rhythms, acting on many layers, transforming and retrieving what she has already found, between clarity and ambiguity, expectation and surprise. TIDE represents a further development of the Icelandic choreographer’s ecological awareness and ethical approach; the work has been produced with Eivind Lønning, one of the leading musicians of the young Norwegian scene.
