New Regulations
The new Regulations include a smaller number of films, with a maximum of 20 titles presented as world premiere screenings for the International Competition Venezia 69, and no more than 11 titles Out of Competition (including a maximum of 3 titles for the midnight slot). A smaller number of sections in the Official Selection, which will now be limited to three: the Competition Venezia 69, Out of Competition, and Orizzonti.

Your Film Festival: discovering new talent
YouTube in partnership with Emirates, la Biennale di Venezia and Scott Free Productions, announced Your Film Festival – a global competition to find the world’s best storytellers. Actor Michael Fassbender is to be in the jury that will nominate the winners. The deadline for submitting shorts expired on 31 March. Selection of potential semifinalist videos has now begun. Voting period on YouTube from 1 June to 13 July.
