The Sala Web
La Biennale di Venezia announces the Sala Web theatre of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, presenting 3 films from Biennale College Cinema and 12 short films online (11 from the Orizzonti section and 1 Out of Competition, the latter available free of charge).
These are world premieres from the Official Selection of the 83rd Venice Film Festival (September 2-12, 2026), whose screenings will be streamed simultaneously with the official film presentations on the Lido, with limited capacity. Each film will be broadcast starting at 9:00 pm on the day of its official screening, after which the title will be available for an additional five days until the end of available streaming.
The program of 12 short films features eleven titles from the Orizzonti section and one Out of Competition, available free of charge worldwide. They will be available through screenings hosted on behalf of the Festival on the website operated by Festival Scope at www.festivalscope.com. Each title (in the original version with subtitles) will be available for streaming starting at 6:00 pm on the day of their official screening and will remain accessible until 11:59 pm on September 30, 2026, subject to availability.
The 3 feature films from Biennale College Cinema —the Biennale's international laboratory for the production of micro-budget feature films— are Maria Giovanna Cicciari's Italian film Demetra in esilio (first feature), Amie Song's Gu Shi (USA, Hong Kong SAR, Thailand, first feature), and Gabriel Gutierrez Morales' Tijuana, Todavía (Mexico, first feature). They will be available on the website operated by MYmovies at www.mymovies.it/ondemand/biennalecinema/ of the Biennale Cinema Channel streaming platform, which already includes a library of the Competition, Out of Competition, and Orizzonti sections from the Venice Film Festival between 2007 and 2025.
How to access
To access the Biennale College Cinema feature films in Italy, in their original language with Italian subtitles, you simply need an active subscription to MYmovies ONE or the Biennale Cinema Channel platform, or you can purchase one starting from €12.00 per year at www.labiennale.org and www.mymovies.it/one/scopri/biennalecinema/.
A special offer will be available to all accreditation holders of the 83rd Venice Film Festival: an annual MYmovies ONE Premium subscription for €10.00, automatically renewed annually, which will provide access to the Biennale Cinema Channel and the content included in the MYmovies offer.
