The Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement goes to the Australian company Bangarra Dance Theatre. The South African dancer, choreographer, director and activist Mamela Nyamza is the recipient of the Silver Lion.

A tribute to the artist fifty years after the Biennale Arte 1976. The exhibition is open at Ca’ Giustinian, the headquarters of La Biennale di Venezia (9 am - 7 pm daily, free admission).

In 2014 he was awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice International Film Festival.
