The Historical Archives of Contemporary Arts (ASAC) is the largest collection of assets concerning La Biennale di Venezia, gathered from the beginning to the present. Located in the VEGA complex in the Venice mainland, the ASAC offers services of documentation, research and experimentation in the field of contemporary arts: visual arts, architecture, cinema, music, dance, and theatre. Most of the above collections are located at Vega (Cygnus building) whereas the Library, including the Periodicals collection, has found a new location at the Biennale Library at Giardini. A selection of works from the artistic fund are now on display in La Biennale headquarters at Ca’ Giustinian.
The Biennale Archives are open to the public by appointment only, Tuesday to Thursday, 9:30 am - 5 pm.
