The 65th Venice International Film Festival, organised by the Venice Biennale, will take place on the Venice Lido from 27th August to 6th September 2008. Marco Müller will be the director of the next edition, continuing the work he began in 2004. The line-up of the Festival will be presented in a press conference in Rome at the end of July. 65th Venice Film Festival Burn After Reading, written and directed by Academy Award® winners Joel and Ethan Coen, will open the 65th Venice Film Festival at Lido di Venezia, to be held from 27th August to 6th September 2008, directed by Marco Müller and organised by La Biennale di Venezia, chaired by Paolo Baratta. The film, starring George Clooney, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Tilda Swinton, Richard Jenkins, and Brad Pitt, will be given its world premiere on the evening of 27th August in the Sala Grande of the Palazzo del Cinema, following the opening ceremony of the 65th Venice Film Festival. The Director of the Cinema section, Marco Müller, continues the work he began in 2004, which has led to a Festival that is increasingly present on the international stage, responsive to emerging film industries and to new talents and at the same time can exploit a solid and constant relationship with the best film production of the world. The 65th International Venice Film Festival will be held from August 27th - September 6th, 2008.
