Buy tickets and subscriptions

By subscribing to the newsletter service, you will receive information about the calendar of the screenings for which you can pre-order online tickets (up to two days before the scheduled screening). The online presale service offers you the possibility to receive tickets via e-mail in PDF format (Ticketless).
Access to screenings is not allowed to persons under the age of 18 years.

Concessions

*Concession for holders of 74th Venice Film Festival’s subscriptions, Biennale Card 2017, Trenitalia customers with a Frecciargento / Frecciabianca / Frecciarossa ticket with destination Venice (travel date should not be more than 3 days before), CartaFRECCIA members (by presenting plastic card or temporary paper card), Under 26 and Over 60.
Concession applicable upon production of a document proving eligibility.
For organizational reasons and management of admissions in the screening theatres, not all allowable discounts may be applied to online purchases and VeneziaUnica advance sales.

Admission to the Venice Sala Web screenings
18 films from the Official Selection available via streaming.

Sala Web screenings are hosted on a secure site operated by Festival Scope (www.festivalscope.com) on behalf of the Venice Film Festival. Festival Scope is the online platform where international film lovers can discover innovative new films from home, through exclusive events in partnership with the most prominent film festivals in the world.

Digital tickets for Sala Web screenings are on sale on Festival Scope at www.festivalscope.com/venicesalaweb2017. Users may register to buy tickets for online screenings with all tickets priced at 4€ or a Festival Pass (2€ per film from 5 films). Once they have purchased a ticket for a chosen title, users will be able to screen the film from 9 p.m. (Venice time, GMT+2) on the day of the film’s official premiere at the Venice Film Festival until September 19th.


Admission to the Venice Virtual Reality screenings
For all accredited visitors, reservation required.

From the 21st of August for all the accredited persons who made the early payment.
To make a reservation please visit www.boxol.it/biennalecinema (Accreditation section) and enter the payment code of your accreditation card.

Your ticket must be displayed together with the accreditation pass at the entrance to the screening rooms on the island of Lazzaretto Vecchio, on paper (printed pdf) or on the screen of your smartphone or tablet.

All pass holders who reserved for the VR must get to the Riva Corinto landing place at least 20 minutes before the scheduled screening.

Pack by time slot to see more than one screening: 3,4 or 5 projects, in 10 possible combinations

VR Theatre
Screenings per time slot

Every accredited visitor may reserve up to a maximum of 3 Stand Ups/Installations packs and one screening time-slot per VR Theatre per day.
Each Stand Ups/Installations pack is devised for the consecutive viewing of several projects.
Please note that should you miss a reserved screening, no further reservations will be issued to you.

Subscription carnets can be collected the at the Ticket Office of Palazzo del Cinema, presenting a valid ID and payment receipt, starting from 25 August 2017.

All subscriptions for the Sala Grande and the full-price subscription for the PalaBiennale entitle to purchase a reduced-price ticket for other scheduled screenings (different from the purchased subscription) to be chosen among the following ones:

  • PalaBiennale  Screenings scheduled at 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:30 pm, 8:00 pm

ACCREDITATION

Accreditation for professionals and Promotional Passes

       

ACCREDITation 2017

 

The Venice International Film Festival offers all those working in the cinematographic sector the possibility of requesting accreditation according to their specific field of employment.

Accreditation will be granted according to the respective regulations and is subject to available seats;

Participation in the Venice Film Festival involves full acceptance of all its regulations​;

Any violation of these will result in the immediate withdrawal of the accreditation badge;

Please note that under no circumstances anyone under the age of 18 will be allowed access to the screening theatres and to the Festival venues.

How to get there

BY TRAIN

After arrival at the railway station of Venezia S.Lucia, catch a vaporetto boat for the Lido (ACTV public transport routes 5.1 / 5.2). Alight at Lido/S. Maria Elisabetta.

BY CAR

Leave motorway at Venice exit, follow indications for Venezia-Lido, board ACTV traghetto (ferry).

BY VAPORETTO

From Piazzale Roma and from the railway station, ACTV routes 1 / 2 / 6 or 5.1 / 5.2.

BY AIR

From Marco Polo airport: Alilaguna rossa line (stops at Lido S.Maria Elisabetta).

On the occasion of the 74th Venice International Film Festival, which will be held from 30 August to 9 September, Servizio Città per tutti of the City of Venice has realized the brochure with the information about the accessibility of locations, Public Transport, routes, car parks and screening theatres.

 

  • BIKE SHARING

The bike sharing service managed by AVM S.p.A. is available 24 hours a day every day. Bicycle stations are located at the bicycle parking area in Piazzale S. Maria Elisabetta and at the Palazzo del Cinema (Via Candia).

When will the next Venice Film Festival run?
30 August to 9 September 2017.

Which films will screen at the next Festival?
The full line-up will be announced at the end of July 2017.

How many sections are there in the line-up?
The official selection includes: Venezia 74, Out of Competition, Orizzonti, and a selection of restored classics: Venice Classics.
The independent and parallel sections include the International Critics’ Week (SIC) and the Giornate degli autori - Venice Days, these sections having their own regulations.

Which screenings are scheduled for the public?
The public has its own access to screenings as indicated in the daily programme. Some screenings are reserved for accredited visitors. Access to screenings is not allowed to persons under the age of 18.

How do I buy tickets and subscriptions?
Please check out the Tickets page, that will be online after the line-up announcement.

Which prizes does the Festival award?
The Venezia 74 international jury will award the Golden Lion for Best Film. The international juries of the other sections will award the remaining prizes as specified in the Regulations.

What are the conditions for submitting a film?
All production or distribution companies and filmmakers can submit films for selection, providing they own the rights to do so and respect the Regulations and the festival deadlines.
 
What is the deadline for submitting a film?
The deadline is around mid-June.
 
Must films be subtitled or dubbed?
All films must be presented exclusively in their original language. The festival is unable to accept dubbed films. Foreign language films must be subtitled in Italian. Italian language films must be subtitled in English.
 
Will the press see my film?
Some 3,000 journalists, film critics, and radio and television reporters are attending the Festival and have privileged access to screenings. A film presented at the Festival attracts world attention. The Venice Film Festival has long been an exclusive launching pad for the work of new filmmakers as well as for accomplished personalities.
 
Does the Festival have a Film Market?
The new Venice Production Bridge (the former Industry Office) headed by Pascal Diot provides the logistics and a framework for promoting and selling films.
 
How do I get accreditation?
The Festival offers all those working in the cinematographic sector the possibility to apply for accreditation according to their specific area of employment. There are four types of accreditation: Press, Industry, Film Delegation, and Cinema. Accreditation will be granted according to the respective regulations and is subject to available seats. More will be available soon in the Accreditation section.
