Synopsis
Two third-rate jazz musicians find themselves jobless and on the run after the police raid the nightclub in which they were playing and they become the unwilling witnesses to a gang war. Penniless and with no place to hide, a tour with Sweet Sue and her Society Syncopators in Florida seems the perfect solution. There’s just one problem: the Syncopators are an all-girl band while Joe and Jerry are not women... yet. Armed with unsteady wigs and a shaky falsetto, Joe and Jerry manage to get themselves hired and meet Sugar Kane, a gorgeous ukulele player and alcoholic with a weakness for wayward saxophonists. But their luck is short-lived: things in fact start to go wrong when the pair attracts the attention of a libidinous millionaire and some all too familiar faces that arrive in their hotel for a meeting of the most dangerous criminals in the country.
