The films of the Biennale Cinema 2026
The Official Selection of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival (Venice Lido, 2 > 12 September 2026).
The 83rd Venice International Film Festival is organised by La Biennale di Venezia and directed by Alberto Barbera. It will run on the Lido di Venezia from 2-12 September 2026. The Festival is officially recognised by the FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Association).
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote international cinema in all its forms as art, entertainment and as an industry, in a spirit of freedom and dialogue. One section is devoted to enhance the restoration works on classic films as a contribution towards a better understanding of the history of cinema.

The screenings of the Venice Spotlight films will be followed by Q&A with the directors and cast, hosted by Chiara Tagliaferri with the support of the 83rd Venice Film Festival’s main sponsor, Armani beauty.
The Venice Film Festival was founded in 1932 and will present in 2026 its 83rd edition.
