Jazmín López was born in Buenos Aires in 1984. She graduated in Film Direction at the Universidad del Cine (FUC), where she currently teaches. Her first short films, Parece la pierna de una muñeca (2007), Juego Vivo (2008), and Te Amo y Morite (2009) were selected by important film festivals around the world, such as the Toulouse Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand, the Rotterdam Film Festival, and the Huesca Film Fest. Apart from her audiovisual production, Jazmín López also paints, studying with artists such as Guillermo Kuitca and Jorge Macchi and holding exhibitions in Argentina and in the United States. Her first feature-length film Leones (2012) was presented at the Venice Film Festival in the Orizzonti section and subsequently in other international festival such as the Rio Film Fest, the Vancouver Film Fest, the Viennale, the Turin Film Festival.
