2012

The fourth edition of the Arsenale della Danza kicked off on 31st January. The master class cycle directed by Ismael Ivo is aimed at young dancers with a solid background and a previous experience. At the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, great dancers and choreographers of international renown become the masters for 24 selected dancers.
Each master class will end with a demonstration for the public: the Open Doors series features dancer and choreographer Francesca Harper on Saturday 11th February (Teatro Piccolo Arsenale 6 p.m., free admission).

Auditions: August / October 2011

The contemporary dance research center directed by Ismael Ivo, Arsenale della Danza, held auditions to participate in the next master class cycle that will run in 2012.
Auditions took place in Vienna c/o ImpulsTanz, on August 6, 2011 (deadline for applications: July 30, 2011) and in Venice c/o Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, on October 22, 2011 (deadline for applications: October 15, 2011).

Dance Biennale 2011

Projects / Initiatives / Performances

Out Doors, featuring the Moving the City project, led the young students of the Arsenale della Danza to effect brief choreographic actions on 26-27 March 2011 on the urban water buses. Guest artists presented new dance creations from 11 May to 25 June at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale and the Teatro Malibran. A star of international dance, Israeli choreographer Emanuel Gat, presented Brilliant Corners as a world premiere on 24-25 June.
