CHOREOGRAPHY TRAINING COURSE
MOVING THE CITY
13 February > 27 March 2011
Choreographic Collision is now in its fifth edition, which will present the second part of the Project focusing on choreographic creation.
The selected young choreographers will be provided with the opportunity to carry out in-depth research in order to create original, short choreographic compositions to be held in various venues around Venice.
The choreographers will have the occasion to implement the Project together with the dancers of the Arsenale della Danza.
The Project is composed of a series of workshops conducted by the Artistic Director, Ismael Ivo and Stefano Tomassini, playwright, together with other major cultural Institutions of Venice.
Moving the City is a project of Arsenale della Danza with the aim to use the unique city of Venice, its culture and heritage as an artistic inspiration. In collaboration with major cultural Institutions of Venice and the project Choreographic Collision organised by Danzavenezia, it promotes intercultural dialogue between young professionals in the sector of performing arts. A multidisciplinary will be settled to accommodate an encounter with dancers and choreographers. It is an artistic discussion between history, architecture, transport and peculiar urbanism.
