BIENNALE COLLEGE - DANCE

Intended for:
Dancers between the ages of 18 and 35 years
with previous experience in dance techniques, in particular contemporary dance
Course held by a choreographer for the creation of a piece
The dancers must indicate the name of their chosen choreographer

The dancers selected to follow the creative work of the selected choreographer, will undertake a process that will involve them in two design phases: in the morning a group lesson with a teacher followed by an encounter with artists, scholars and philosophers with the purpose of creating a context to explore themes regarding the sense of the body, space and practices; the afternoons are reserved for the process of creation with the choreographer, which will take place in a specific venue reserved for the creation.

The project will be generated by a concept of adjacency and analogy, with the intent of initiating an ongoing dialogue between creation, the anthropology of the place and interaction with other artistic fields.

The choreographers:
Michele Di Stefano (Italy)
Alessandro Sciarroni (Italy)
Arkadi Zaides (Israel)

The course will take place in Venice:
From 10 to 30 June

The schedule will include:
mornings: lessons in technique with teachers and meetings with scholars, philosophers, artists;
afternoons: the creative phase with the choreographer.

The final phase will include the presentation in Venice of the choreographic work, with a performance open to the public.
