Biennale Art
On April 7th, the Board of Directors of the Venice Biennale Foundation, chaired by Paolo Baratta, appointed Daniel Birnbaum as Director of the Visual Arts Sector, with specific responsibility as curator of the 53rd International Art Exhibition. The event will run June 7th to November 22nd, 2009. Born in Stockholm in 1963, Daniel Birnbaum has been the curator of institutions and exhibitions at an international level.

53rd International Art Exhibition The 53rd International Art Exhibition will run June 7th to November 22nd, 2009. The history of the Venice Biennale began in 1895, when the first Art Exhibition took place. The latest edition of the event, the 52nd International Art Exhibition, attracted 319,332 visitors from the opening on June 10th to the closing day, November 21st, 2007.
