OPEN DOORS FOR DANCE LOVERS
The master class cycle, Arsenale della Danza, directed by Ismael Ivo and aimed at young dancers, kicked off on 30th January. Each master class session ends with a demonstration for the public in the cycle Open Doors at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale: the first event features dancer and choreographer Francesca Harper on Saturday 11th February at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale (6 p.m., free admission).
3RD INTERNATIONAL KIDS’ CARNIVAL
The third edition of the International Kids’ Carnival will run in Venice from 11th to 21st February at the Giardini. The initiative was presented on 3rd February by Paolo Baratta and the representatives of participating countries. The new edition is titled Tales and Thoughts and will feature the participation of Australia, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands, Romania, and the United States. Calendar of Events >>
WHAT’S NEW AT THE VENICE FILM FESTIVAL
The Biennale Board approved several new features for the next Venice Film Festival: Biennale College - Cinema, a workshop open to young filmmakers from around the world, for the production of low-budget films. Light Market, a new structure as an actual Market, in its earliest phases. Urban renewal of the area dedicated to the Festival, and renovation of the spaces. New Regulations. The Festival runs Aug. 29th to Sept. 8th.
