GOLDEN LION TO SYLVIE GUILLEM
On the occasion of the 8th International Festival of Contemporary Dance, Awakenings (8 > 24 June), the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement will go to great ballerina Sylvie Guillem. The awards ceremony will be held on 20 June at Ca’ Giustinian, Venice. The Festival will also include master classes with some of the protagonists of the contemporary stage. Tickets info >>
GOLDEN LION TO FRANCESCO ROSI
On the occasion of the screening of the restored copy of Il caso Mattei, Italian director and screenwriter Francesco Rosi has been awarded the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement of the 69th Venice International Film Festival. What's new at the next Venice Film Festival: new foyer for the Palazzo del Cinema, Venice Film Market, Biennale College - Cinema, a workshop open to young filmmakers.
