Cinema Accreditation

Introductory note

La Biennale di Venezia aims to carbon neutrality. This involves reducing and offsetting the emission of carbon dioxide through targeted actions that require the involvement and attention of all Festival participants. We would like to thank you in advance for your collaboration in achieving this ambitious goal, which will be reached through the individual behaviour of each of us.

1. Accreditation

The Cinema accreditation is dedicated to those who operate in the film sector under a cultural profile.

EARLY BIRD FEE: € 80
Request by 4th June 2026
Online payment by 11th June 2026, 2:30 pm CET

FULL FEE: € 95
Request by 12th August 2026
Online payment  available throughout the entire duration of the Festival

Payment of the accreditation must be made exclusively online.
After the payment, the accreditation typology cannot be changed unless a new accreditation request and payment are made. Refund of the previous payment will not be possible.

The accreditation pass constitutes a strictly personal fiscal document.
Any transfer or assignment to third parties, even on a temporary basis, is strictly prohibited.
In the event of non-compliance, the accreditation will be immediately withdrawn by security personnel, declared null and void, and will not be eligible for refund or reissue.

The booking of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival screenings (2-12 September 2026) will only be available to pass holders who have paid for their accreditation.

  • The Cinema accreditation can be requested by:
  • · University lecturers or researchers involved in teaching or researching film related subjects ;
  • · Teachers of public schools teaching film studies; in this case, the request must be accompanied by up-to-date documentation of the subjects taught and by a letter from the Headmaster;
  • · Main representatives of major national film associations;
  • · Heads or close collaborators of cultural associations providing detailed evidence of their film activity;
  • · Representatives of publishing companies with specific editorial interest in the cinema field;
  • · Heads of Italian and foreign cultural institutions;
  • · Heads of public and local cultural administrations;

· Podcasters, bloggers with specific activity dedicated to cinema.

Cultural operators and representatives of film clubs and cultural associations affiliated with national cinema associations are kindly recommended to refer directly to the associations to request a Cinema accreditation.

Requests which do not fit into the above categories will not be considered.
All requests must be accompanied by detailed and up-to-date documentation indicating the applicant’s category.

Badges are strictly personal and non-transferable. Therefore, they must be collected in person at the Accreditation Desk upon presentation of a valid ID and the registration confirmation letter, either in digital or printed form.

 

CINEMA ACCREDITATION AND SERVICES OFFERED
Cinema accreditation is an access title that offers the possibility of watching all films of the Festival at the screenings marked as “Tutti gli accrediti/All pass holders”, the access to the projects of the Venice Immersive section at Isola del Lazzaretto Vecchio (Venice Immersive Island), the access to the Exhibition Areas and to the free access conferences organized by the Venice Production Bridge.

Access to the screenings is allowed after the online booking on the dedicated platform.

The 7 pm official screenings in Sala Grande are exclusively for the public.

The screening schedule will be available on the website from mid-August and in the official programme which will be handed out with the accreditation badge.

The accreditation will be valid for the entire duration of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival (2–12 September 2026). Please note that access to the screening rooms will only be possible by showing your accreditation and reservation.

 

Cinema accreditation also allows you to benefit from:
· discount on the cover price of the Film Festival catalogue;
· discount on tickets to the 61st International Art Exhibition (Giardini and Arsenale 9 May - 22 November 2026) and participation in the free guided tour of the Exhibition (for further information, please contact promozione@labiennale.org).

2. Cinema accreditation request

The online Cinema Accreditation request needs to include:

· contact details of the applicant or whoever will be the contact throughout the accreditation process (first name, last name, address, telephone and e-mail).

And, according to the applicant cultural profile, one of the following documents to be attached to the web form:

· request on letterhead paper including the number of accreditation badges requested and a list with names and specific positions of people within the educational institution, signed by the teachers themselves or by the Headmaster or by the Institute Secretariat;

· up-to-date documentation of the cinematographic activity carried out, including the number of accreditation badges requested and a list with names and specific positions of people within the organisation, company or cultural association;

· reference to the audio platform or webpage where it can be verified the applicant's activity for at least two years, the number of channel subscribers/followers, the number of streams/views.

In particular, applicants belonging to the same Association/University/Institute/Company are required to submit a single accreditation request by completing the online form and including:

· the name of the Association/University/Institute/Company;

  • · a document on the official letterhead of the Association/University/Institute/Company, dated and indicating the total number of accreditation requested, along with the following details for each applicant:
    • · first and last name;
  • · role;

· if a member, the membership card number and its expiration date, which must be valid for the year 2026.

Applicants holding a Biennale Young Adult Card are requested to contact accrediti@labiennale.org to receive information about the procedure.

 

We remind you that the request must be accompanied by the appropriate documentation as outlined by the online procedures and must therefore be received complete in all parts by the deadline.

The Registration Office will evaluate all requests and, where accreditation is granted, will send a written communication and the codes to fill out the related online forms. These must be filled out and returned online.

Please note that the accreditation badge, a digital entry, can be paid exclusively online with traceable payment systems, such as credit and debit card or other payment method indicated on the e-commerce page.

The accreditation fee is not refundable under any circumstances, including non-attendance or decision not to use it.

Loss or theft of the accreditation badge must be reported to the local police authority. The badge will only be replaced against renewed payment of the same fee previously paid and within the times of the issuing office.
Badges are issued at the full discretion of La Biennale di Venezia.
