Re-enchanting the world

For feminist theorist and activist Silvia Federici, the “re-enchantment of the world” means “to reconnect what capitalism has divided: our relation with nature, with others, and with our bodies.”[1] This panel will explore inspirations for a re-enchantment of the world: examining our interdependencies with, and forms of affection for, nature, the Earth, and animals; communal relations; rituals and myths; craft; and folklore.

Zoom Keynote by Silvia Federici, feminist activist, writer and teacher.

Speakers include Julia Bryan-Wilson, Professor of Contemporary Art and LGBTQ+ Studies at Columbia University; Magdalene Odundo and Liv Bugge, participating artists at the 59th International Art Exhibition.

Conversation moderated by Julia Bryan-Wilson.
