Biennale College Cinema is a project by La Biennale di Venezia promoting new talents and offering them the opportunity to work with masters for making new micro-budget feature films. Since the first edition in 2012, 68 features by emerging filmmakers have been made, after a selection of over 2700 applications submitted from all over the world.
Biennale College Cinema is realised by La Biennale di Venezia and has the support of Ministero della Cultura and the additional support of Chanel. Biennale College Cinema relies on the academic collaboration of the Gotham Film & Media Institute and the TorinoFilmLab. The Director is Alberto Barbera, the Head of Programme Savina Neirotti.
