Biennale College Cinema is a project by La Biennale di Venezia promoting new talents and offering them the opportunity to work with masters for making new micro-budget feature films. Since the first edition in 2012, Biennale College Cinema has received 3132 applications from all over the world; 45 micro-budget features have been produced with a grant by La Biennale di Venezia; other 27 have been produced independently.
Biennale College Cinema is realised by La Biennale di Venezia and has the support of Ministero della Cultura and the additional support of Chanel. Biennale College Cinema relies on the academic collaboration of the Gotham Film & Media Institute and the TorinoFilmLab. The educational activities are made possible by the Creative Europe – Media programme. The Director is Alberto Barbera, the Head of Programme Savina Neirotti.
