Early childhood / Primary schools

La Biennale di Venezia has planned for 2024 an extensive Educational offer. Its activities are addressed to groups of students and children and offer a rich programme of guided tours and workshop activities. Activities are conducted by professional operators selected and trained by La Biennale.

Guided tours with workshops last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes per exhibition venue. The maximum number of participants per activity is 25 people.
Students will receive a free ticket to the Exhibition, valid for the day and only for the exhibition venue where the educational activity takes place.
One free admission ticket is available every 14 participating students; one free ticket is available for each accompanying person of a student with a certified disability.

ART AND CREATIVITY (Primary schools and summer camps)

Other-Portraits
Venue: Giardini
This activity focuses on diversity. It discusses identities through the medium of portraits in the exhibition, highlighting themes like expression, emotion, and the human condition.

Fragments of Worlds
Venue: Arsenale
A stroll through the Corderie Arsenale, discovering fragments from foreign worlds: largely unknown stories, to discover new artists and extraordinary territories, to be mapped and integrated. The starting point is the use of textiles, through a selection of works that reveal an interest in craftsmanship, tradition and the handmade.

NARRATIVE TOURS (Primary schools - Grades 4 and 5)

Venue: Giardini, itinerant storytelling among installations and pavilions
It is advisable to bring a notebook and pen for each participant

Participants will be challenged to have a new experience: they will be invited to represent themselves, impersonating roles that differ from the ones they are used to. They will be asked to explore different scenarios and possibilities. The tour will include the creation of a story with imagined characters.

ART + MUSIC (Primary schools)

This educational proposal offers the possibility of booking a multidisciplinary workshop that connects the language of Art with that of Music. After visiting the Exhibition, students will have the opportunity to experience a creative workshop related to the performing arts, and led by a specialised operator.
