The Programme of the Biennale Architettura 2021 expands the outreach of the Exhibition in different dimensions. Based on the vision of President Roberto Cicutto to develop strong outreach programmes and to create an open dialogue among the different arts and with the Archives, the Programme of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition aims to:

  • Connect architecture with the other arts
  • Link the rich Archives of La Biennale di Venezia with the present
  • Develop the pedagogical dimension of the Exhibition
  • Project the Biennale Architettura 2021 to the world

Over the duration of the Biennale Architettura 2021, a series of activities will be organized in Venice and streamed live to the world. These activities are also organized in collaboration with other Institutions and Organizations.

Thematically, the Programme is organized around themes, extracted from the Biennale Architettura and that cut across the five scales of the Exhibition. They will be organized in clusters of one week per month and they will overlap with related events of La Biennale’s other Departments and the workshops on architecture in order to enhance the interaction between the Biennale Architettura 2021 and the university programmes in Venice.
