Description

Architecture answers to its time. Some things, however, never change: we live together under the same sky; we live together on the same ground. The sky above our head, the ground under our feet: a natural metaphor of community. To recover this evidence, this installation emphasizes the relation between what is above and below us: by taking root in the earth, Ground allows us to apprehend the immense ceiling. Confined and still open, this piece consists of 355 square and rectangular stone elements distributed along 22 meters in length and 3 meters in width. The central backbone of this work is formed by 60 of these elements which show, dug in their thickness, a possible spatiality.

Biennale Sneak Peek

Image 1 – How will we live together?
Faith. Architecture answers to its time. A time where some conditions are eternal, others come from Men’s evolution. Some things never change, we walk on the same floor, under the same sky.

Image 2 – Sneak peek of the project
We walk on the same floor. Architecture aspires to be the art of permanence, something that stays and serves each change in Men. A support structure that doesn’t answer to a function or a time but which creates a condition open to life. A base which allows and inspires Men’s journey, in time and in the transformation of the world.
