Synopsis

Bradley, a temporarily unemployed father and husband, has a visitor while his wife is out of town. A decision he makes to ensure the silence of his son costs him more than he would like — changing their lives forever.

Director’s Statement

With A Very Good Boy, a long itch to make a film has finally been scratched. Not that making a film was itself the goal. Like with anything, I am of the opinion that intentions should be clear, no matter what you are doing. And so, with A Very Good Boy, my intentions were the same as when I was writing the short story from which it is loosely adapted. Which is to say, I wanted to make something with sex, with violence, with humour — and a sting in the tail.
