This event will discuss the soft power of cultural institutions as enablers of climate action inspired by the key principles of the ‘Flying Rivers’ cultural programme of the Global Commission on the Economics of Water. Panellists will reflect on systemic changes within cultural institutions, and the ways in which these may catalyse wider shifts in other sectors.

Henk Ovink (Executive Director of the Global Commission on the Economics of Water - GCEW), Anna Dupont (Water Global Affairs expert and co-curator of GCEW follow-up initiatives), Musonda Mumba (Secretary General of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands), Bill Balaskas (Artist and instigator of the ‘Flying Rivers’ cultural campaign and International Museums Consortium)
