Radio GAMeC – Pedagogy of Hope
Album
description
In a time marked by systemic crises, structural inequalities, and increasingly pervasive forms of externally directed learning governed by algorithmic dispositifs, what kind of education is needed today? Which practices can foster autonomy, responsibility, and critical thinking?
Pedagogy of Hope emerges from these questions and from a desire to restore dialogue and listening as central practices of learning. Not an exhibition, but a radical educational dispositif, it builds on the experience of Radio GAMeC, a digital platform launched in 2020 during the pandemic, and takes as its reference Paulo Freire’s thinking and his understanding of pedagogy as a practice of freedom.
Radio becomes a space of experimentation: a site where knowledge is shaped by dissonant voices, marginal perspectives, and non-hegemonic forms of knowing. Through a series of conversations, Pedagogy of Hope interrogates what educates us on a daily basis and asserts the right to imagine alternatives. The hope invoked here is not a promise of the future, but a critical and collective practice.
Conceived as a digital archive of voices and reflections, Radio GAMeC arrives in Venice during the pre-opening week and continues online until the end of the Biennale Arte 2026.
