It was unclear how this new "virtual world" had been put together. The only consensus was humanity's desire to remain connected with each other, and inspiration from fiction that existed before the disasters. Countless pockets like this, created with the intention to serve as a new living space, as a new way to connect. Still, the technology couldn't achieve the details from that old fiction. Eventually such projects merged with each other, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a mess of incompatible code. Welcome to Uncanny Alley. A glitch in the Metaverse.
