The user will embark on a thought-provoking journey through a series of unique and unsettling environments‚ evoking the feelings of being watched‚ surveilled‚ controlled and monitored‚ making the complex reality of surveillance visually and emotionally impactful. Thematically driven by historical and philosophical frameworks‚ such as Jeremy Bentham’s Panopticon prison‚ Michel Foucault’s extended theories of disciplinary power‚ and George Orwell’s “Nineteen Eighty-Four”, jasper encourages the user to question how modern surveillance practices are eroding the human right to privacy and consider new ways to guide these practices towards an ethic of care rather than control. |
