Director Frederick Wiseman was an undisputed master of documentary cinema and an unforgettable voice of independent film. La Biennale di Venezia awarded him the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the Venice International Film Festival in 2014.
The film follows rehearsals and performances at the Crazy Horse Paris as it prepares for Désirs, a new production by celebrated French choreographer Philippe Decouflé. Alongside backstage preparations, including make-up and costume fittings, the film explores the artistic, logistical and administrative work behind this modern, humorous and colourful “nude chic” spectacle.
Language: French with English subtitles.
