Growing attendance at the Biennale Arte 2026. Today, Saturday, May 9th, 2026, the first day of public opening, about 10,000 visitors have flocked to the Giardini and Arsenale venues as of 6:00 PM (the Exhibition closes at the Arsenale at 8:00 PM) for the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, titled In Minor Keys by Koyo Kouoh, representing an increase of about 10 % compared to the opening day of Biennale Arte 2024.

A positive outcome was also recorded during the four pre-opening days (May 5–8): there were 27,935 attendees, representing a 4% increase compared to the pre-opening days of 2024.

Regarding the press, 3,733 journalists attended the pre-opening, 2,641 of whom were from the international press (70% of the total).

The 61st International Art Exhibition, titled In Minor Keys by Koyo Kouoh, will remain open to the public until November 22, 2026.
