The Spirits of Maritime Crossing 2026
album
description
Set in the historic Palazzo Rocca Contarini Corfù, The Spirits of Maritime Crossing 2026 extends its dialogue between Venice and Bangkok, exploring how stories travel across seas through memory, movement, and ritual. The exhibition reflects on migration, ecological fragility, and cultural inheritance, tracing how communities respond to loss, displacement, and renewal.
Through film, performance, installation, and sculpture, the presentation examines shifting identities, submerged histories, and the resilience of ancestral knowledge. Visions of rising waters, spiritual journeys, and maritime mythologies create a shared vocabulary of crossings, between past and present, body and landscape, personal stories and collective memory.
In a world shaped by changing climate, fractured borders, and renewed questions of belonging, The Spirits of Maritime Crossing 2026 reflects on how we navigate the currents of our time — and how, in the midst of uncertainty, art becomes a vessel for memory, connection, and quiet resilience.
