synopsis

In the heart of Manhattan’s Little Italy, where mob bosses rule and faith is fading, Father Joe, a man of God unlike any other, wages a secret war – singlehandedly busting crime rings and turning the city’s underworld into his congregation. As the stakes rise and the network runs deeper, Joe must forge unlikely alliances, cross sacred lines, and take his war beyond the walls of the church to save the lives no one else can. Confess, repent, pay, or face the consequences.

Director’s Statement

I have always seen Father Joe as a modern fable about faith, redemption and the complexity of human nature. At the same time, it is an action thriller inspired by the genre cinema I grew up watching and loving. Working with such an extraordinary cast, led by Kiefer Sutherland, Ever Anderson and Al Pacino, was an exceptional privilege. Their commitment, generosity and artistic courage elevated every scene. I am deeply grateful to Luc Besson for his trust and support throughout this journey.
