According to Hesiod’s Theogony, Chaos lies at the origin of all creation. It is the fathomless void from which the world emerges. Drawing on this genealogical lineage, the performance Declosion invokes the figure of Clotho, who spins the thread of life. To be born, to live, to die: weaving follows the rhythm of existence.
In dialogue with Amina Agueznay’s artwork, Declosion summons and extends this cosmology of gesture. Within the installation Asǝṭṭa, Inès Abergel reveals, through a body in the midst of transformation, the cyclical temporality of the living: the passage from Emptiness to Fullness, from Nothingness to Existence, from Nonbeing to Being.
