Description

The pavilion of Mexico presents the geographic and imaginary space of Mexican architecture as an esthetic translation of the land defining us: a territory of permanent contrasts and vulnerabilities. In all the facets of life there is always a reverberation amongst origin and present. We know that nature guides our destiny, it defines the understanding of the world we belong to, gives character and nuance to social, political, financial structures, as well as to all acts going from ordinary to complex. The exhibition introduces a complex and fertile region, leveraged and enriched by architectural practice that takes shapes at sublime scenarios. Through a portrayal of murals, the exhibition penetrates us into the Echoes of a Land, examples of a vulnerable and contrasting reality, in a country that needs to find solutions both in poverty and education, as well as in the knowledge and transgression of an architecture of quality.
