Description

Well appreciated but less familiar to the greater public, the director and author Pino Carbone presents the brand new Assedio from Cyrano de Bergerac: an adaptation that transports the romantic hero into our own time, against the background of the siege of Sarajevo, when war erupted into life with its devastations, forever changing our destinies.

“A work on war as a material effect, on the upheaval it creates, on the relationships that destroy and those it modifies. A work on the consequences of conflict, on loss, on destruction and on the emotional attempt to rebuild. Assedio is a work at the mercy of poetry and war. The Cyrano de Bergerac by Rostand is literally besieged”. (Pino Carbone)
