TOUR WITH WORKSHOP
environment, fiction, future

Can we imagine the future? If we can imagine different futures, will we be able to change the future? Global warming and its impact upon cities and environments demand a new ecologic awareness, and a creative search for personal and social solutions. Students will be asked to analyse their present experience with reference to its possible developments in the future, using creative writing.

Activities take place at the Arsenale and consist of a first part with a guided tour and a second part in a seminar room, with the production of fiction and a debate about different texts.

TOUR WITH WORKSHOP
global commons, communication, spaces

To whom does the universe belong? Humans have explored the universe, in order to understand it and their place in it. Observing the stars and outer space confronts us with our identity and our belonging to this planet. The way we consider the universe and everything it contains reflects the way we experience ourselves as humans. How would we describe ourselves to living beings from other planets?

Activities take place at the Arsenale and consist of a first part with a guided tour and a second part with an activity in an education, with the production of fiction and other forms of texts and a debate about them.

THEME-BASED TOURS AND SPECIAL PROJECTS

ARCHITECTURE AS GENEROUS LISTENING
This educational activity is dedicated to the relationship between architecture, listening, and acknowledgement. It is inspired by the themes of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, How will we live together?
The activity consists in the presentation and discussion of projects that address the theme of listening as a privileged form of encounter: listening to other human beings, to other living beings, and to oneself.
The tour unfolds along three dimensions: the corporeal and biological dimension; the domestic and interpersonal dimension; the communitarian and social dimension.
Location: Arsenale

ARCHITECTURES AND THE FUTURE
This activity is dedicated to the relationship between architecture, project and future, in the light of the themes of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, How will we live together? It addresses projects which question our certainties about the future: future values and communities, with respect to past and present paradigms. The itinerary unfolds along three dimensions: the future of bodies and individual identities; the future of homes and families; the future of communities and our sense of belonging.
Location: Arsenale
