Talking to Elephants restores the extinct ability of the endangered African Savanna Elephant (Loxodonta africana) to migrate across the Limpopo Province of South Africa. It features an ecologically sensitive, infrasonic “language” that can be used to talk to elephants, teaching them how to use a newly proposed 1000-kilometer wildlife migration corridor. The route uses a prototype technology of AI-driven, elephant only gates and water points that allow wild elephants to safely transverse fence lines between public and private land, without direct human interference.
