Under the leadership of Chief Biraci Brasil Nixiwaka, the Yawanawá people of the Brazilian Amazon have been actively reclaiming their traditions. The Yawanawá Sacred Village consists of a Ceremonial Center, a University of Ancestral Knowledge, and a Model House. Built with native wood and innovative design techniques, it connects indigenous intelligence with contemporary architecture and minimises environmental impact.
