Ulrike Müller works across several media – including enamel paintings, prints, and rugs – to deploy a graphic and rigorous formalism that is charged with feminist and queer possibilities. Müller creates meticulous surfaces that invite an intimate looking, and also carefully choreographs the exhibition space by working with the architecture and hanging pieces at unconventional heights to emphasise how the gallery itself is also a container.
