description

In Ukraine, three story gatherers collect testimonies about joy. They are both the starting point and a disruptive agent within an exhibition that, against the violence saturating our time, offers joy and the sharing of joy as a radical act of humanity.

As if unfolding from a dream, rave scenes in Kyiv before and during the war, a landscape painting vibrating with moonglow, and a video essay about dreams seen by Mariupol culminate in an immersive installation that suggests a sweet, impermanent architecture.

Moving through individual stories, lost communities, and love, Still Joy reflects on displacement, endurance, and responsibility. The works trace the scars left by human presence: from the century-old sakura to the tattoo salon and the painted-metal Kalyna offshoot, all submerged in the simple joy of surviving on the battlefield.

The exhibition closes much as it began: with a rave, where the bodies become a landscape carrying the weight of history.
