description
Con te con tutto – the exhibition project curated by Cecilia Canziani for the Italian Pavilion and realised with the support of the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture – articulates Chiara Camoni’s way of living and working, grounded in a choral approach, while multiplying its readings, voices and presences. The spaces of the two Tese delle Vergini at the Arsenale are organised according to a dual orientation – vertical in the first and horizontal in the second – establishing a relationship between the body of the sculpture and the bodies of visitors.
In the penumbra, visitors are welcomed by twenty-four life-sized sculptures incorporating vegetal elements, such as plants and flowers, as well as artificial materials including plastics, debris and objects. Archaic and solemn, these figures present themselves as guardians of a world in which every form of matter – living and inert – may thrive.
In the second space, bathed in natural light, a world in the making unfolds, composed of works whose domestic configuration opens onto a public dimension. Among cabinets, tables and other surfaces that safeguard the works of the Dialogues section as though they were treasures, spaces for rest, discussion and contemplation are interwoven. The largest of these faces the Giardino delle Vergini, an ideal continuation of the pavilion.
