Description
“Patrick Watson and I began our discussions in the midst of the pandemic. Starting from that peculiar moment, we examined together our feelings about our damaged world, each of us sharing concerns about the unbearable situation. Our frank examinations of today’s ever-growing list of crises – ecological disruption, social exclusion, limitless exploitation of limited natural resources, widening inequalities and the relentless and dehumanising search for profit – is what formed the basis of our deliberations. We’ve assumed our responsibilities as artists. The demand for a better world is also played out symbolically, through the advent of new imaginations in the wars of our representations. He and I joined together due to our shared belief in the power of the most radical poetry, enchanting spells, in truly magical conjurations and in the wildest possible ideas”.
